Bio
Darick Taylor is a visual artist and writer based in Jacksonville, Florida. His photographs and handmade prints have been exhibited in galleries and retail spaces. Beginning as a writer and aspiring photographer for his college’s news site, Taylor was introduced to a community of artists. He began pursuing printmaking, painting, and illustration, exploring themes of nature reclaiming spaces in the absence of humans, as well as expressive works with a tinge of the Southern Gothic.
Taylor and his artist partner, Margete Griffin, started Monolith Prints (monlithprints.com) in 2019 to exhibit their collaborative work, focusing on conceptual, one-of-a-kind printmaking.
